About Us
Working Together to End Homelessness
The Wimmera Homelessness Alliance (WHA) brings together organisations from across our region with one shared goal: to prevent and end homelessness.
We believe that no single organisation can solve homelessness alone. By working together, we can better support people experiencing homelessness, identify gaps in our local system, advocate for change, and create stronger pathways to safe and secure housing.
Our members collaborate across housing, health, family violence, mental health, alcohol and other drug services, Aboriginal organisations, local government and community services. Together, we work to improve outcomes for individuals, families and communities throughout the Wimmera.
Our Vision
A community where everyone has access to safe, secure and appropriate housing, and homelessness is rare, brief and non-recurring.
A Stronger Response, Together
WHA is a partnership of member organisations working across the Wimmera - including Horsham, Stawell, Halls Gap, Ararat and all the small towns in between.
Our alliance provides a forum for collaboration, shared learning and collective action. By bringing together leaders, managers and frontline practitioners, we strengthen local responses to homelessness and ensure our community's voice is heard.

• advocate for system improvements
• share knowledge and innovation
• raise community awareness about homelessness
• work towards lasting housing solutions.
How we work
The alliance operates through two collaborative groups.
Leadership Group
Senior leaders from member organisations provide strategic leadership, strengthen partnerships and advocate for system change.
Practitioners Group
Practitioners/Case Managers from member organisations improve service coordination, share knowledge and strengthen collaboration across the region.
